From TheHammontonNews.com — The state Department of Transportation next week will begin resurfacing about four miles of the White Horse Pike in Hammonton and Mullica Township. The $2 million project is scheduled for completion in December 2009.
Crews will maintain one lane of traffic in each direction at all times, said Tim Greeley, a Department of Transportation spokesman.
The work will take place from milepost 32 to milepost 36.2.
Most of the work will be done overnight.
From the start of construction until Sept. 15, crews may close single lanes from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Single lanes also may be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays.
Resurfacing will not take place on weekends, Greeley said.
From Sept. 15 until the completion of the project, crews may close single lanes from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays.
