Teachers at one Egg Harbor City School aren’t afraid to get a little dirty, all for a good cause.
As part of a fundraiser for the juvenile diabetes research foundation, students at the Spragg School voted with donations, to see which teacher they would like to get “pied.” Their physical education teacher was overwhelming chosen, and was hit not one, not two, but five times by students.
Another teacher also had his head shaved, all in the name of meeting their goal of raising $1,000, which they doubled.
School officials say they were inspired to raise money for the cause by a first grader, who suffers from type-one juvenile diabetes. They hope to make this an annual event.
