Mullica Township School District is recognizing three outstanding staff members who were selected through a committee of their peers.

Ms. Jeannine Luciani, the Middle School recipient of the Governor’s Teacher Recognition Award, is a creative individual who has provided ongoing encouragement and guidance to the students of Mullica Township Middle School. Her innovative ideas have sparked the Coffee Bar, Bagel Express, and the Life Skills Center. Ms. Luciani is warm and compassionate supporting her students to make responsible choices that will guide them through life challenges.

Ms. Elba Perez began her career at Mullica Twp. Schools in 1978. She is currently an instructional aide at the pre-school level for the Mullica Twp. Elementary School. She is noted for her warm, caring demeanor towards her students. Her bilingual skills are often utilized to make parents and students feel comfortable. She not only helps in the classroom, she also rides the bus with the 4 year olds every day. Her smiling face makes for a pleasant first school experience for our young ones. Ms. Perez always says, “No matter what is going on, when I walk into the classroom, it is all about the kids.” The district is lucky to have a local resident who gives so much to her students.

Mullica Twp. Elementary School is proud to announce a local resident, Ms. Marci Galli as this year’s Teacher of the Year. Ms. Galli has taught for 17 years, 12 of them in our district. She is presently a third grade teacher. Marci is noted for her progressive approach to teaching and for finding the best way a child learns. She studies her craft and is always willing to share with her peers. Ms. Galli considers it an honor to be entrusted with helping to shape a young child’s life. Marci embodies the Mullica spirit of always striving to learn
more about teaching. This award is well deserved. The district is lucky to have a teacher with so much to give to her students.
