A Buena Vista Township man was arrested after he went on a daytime burglary spree in several towns, police said Monday.

Randy J. Rutzler, 31, of the Collings Lakes section, allegedly broke into homes, usually by kicking in the front door, and then heading to the master bedroom to take valuables, police said. The burglaries were committed during the daytime while the residents were not home. More than $30,000 worth of items were taken.

Rutzler was arrested Friday as the result of an investigation by police from Hamilton, Mullica Township, Hammonton, Monroe Township and the State Police. He was charged with numerous counts of burglary, theft and criminal mischief, and taken to the Atlantic County Jail on $20,000 cash bail, police said.
