The township’s volunteer rescue squad has informed the municipal government that on Monday it will stop sending ambulances to nighttime emergency calls and disband.

Hammonton’s rescue squad has covered Mullica during the day since 2003, and beginning Monday it will do so around the clock, township officials said.
