EGG HARBOR CITY – Police here have identified a body discovered found lying on Third Terrace between Route 30 and Atlantic Avenue as Corey Pohlig, 25, of Tunney Avenue in Mays Landing.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel said police responded to a 6:13 a.m. Wednesday report of a body in the road. Upon arrival, officers discovered Pohlig lying face down in the roadway. 

AtlantiCare paramedics arrived and pronounced Pohlig dead at the scene.
Atlantic County Medical Examiner Dr. Hydow Park performed the autopsy Wednesday afternoon. The cause of death is pending further studies and an investigation.

Egg Harbor City Detective Sgt. Ricky Cantz and Patrolman Michael Luko are investigating with the assistance of Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Investigator Kevin Hincks under the Supervision of Sgt. Keith Fane.
