Lights at Key Rec Field have returned to operation after vandalism kept them from igniting Thursday evening, scuttling an Atlantic City Baseball League game.

The meter socket controlling the lights was destroyed, said Gary Haes, a member of the Key Rec Association board. Atlantic City Electric has replaced it at no charge, Haes said. He did not believe the vandal or vandals sought any valuable material.

The game between Egg Harbor City and Egg Harbor Township will resume in the fifth inning June 27 in Egg Harbor Township.
